Untitled (Leopard in Tree)

In photographs taken with an infrared lens, nothing is quite as it seems. Dark palm leaves become pale white, clouds become black and a leopards spots are reversed. Photographing in the often harsh, natural sunlight of India led wildlife photographer Aditya Dicky Singh to seek out different tools and methods of photographing at different times of day. When the light is at its most bright and highest point, mid-day it is impossible to photograph and this is when he was getting some of his best sightings. It’s been an interesting learning curve but the fruits of this labour can now be enjoyed in Dicky’s remarkable set of Infrared photographs showing intimate portraits of both Indian and African wildlife and scenery.

This fabulous image was taken of the leopard on the lookout in Masai Mara in Kenya.
